The Wine Roads
link the best zones, wineries and attractions of our Province. Manicured
vineyards at the foothills of the Andean Mountain Range, cool nights
and good wine to enjoy among friends.
These are some of the traits that make this journey among Mendocinean
wineries a unique one. |
| Wine
Roads is a touristic concept conceived to be enjoyed all year round,
from visiting wineries to places of cultural and historical value.
|
| The
Wine Roads are touristic circuits in the 4 different regions that
have been marked by both tradition as well as viticultural relevance. |

Mendoza
is one of the most attractive cities in Argentina, which as from the
“wine boom” of tha last few years offers enticing choices
for tourism: from five-star hotels to attractive inns, gourmet cuisine
and the charm of the Wine Roads. These among others reasons made the
representatives of the Great Wine Capitals choose our province as
the Eighth World’s Wine Capital together with Melbourne (Australia),
Bordeaux (France), San Francisco, next to Napa Valley (USA), Porto
(Portugal) and Florence (Italy). Recently, other cities have been
incorporated, such as Rioja together with Bilbao (Spain) and Cape
Town (South Africa).
Mendoza is a city of great aromas, flavors, overwhelming nature, tradition
and kind people, all traits framed by the magic of wine. |
| |
The
global network of the Great Wine Capitals works to boost internacional
wine tourism, as well as economic, academic and cultural interchanges
among these famous Wine Capitals.
Mendoza stands for the main wine industry in Argentina, with a production
that amounts to approximately 70% of the country’s total. Its
most characteristic stock is Malbec. The climate and the terroir in
Mendoza are ideal for this stock.
Mendoza is priviledged with a geographically strategic location, neighbouring
with Chile and the other Mercosur countries (Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay).
As well as viticulture, there is also a significant development of
agriculture. Mendoza is a city that stands out for its intense cultural
life with its universities, theatres, museums and art galleries.
The events related to viticulture and with Aconcagua Hill, the highest
mountain in The Americas (6,959 m/ 22,841 ft) are the main attractions
that make Mendoza one of the most popular international destinations
for tourism. |
