Rafting |
| The
large rivers that flow from the mountain range turn Mendoza into one
of the best places in Argentina to practise rafting. Numerous companies
offer their services for tourists to live an exciting experience and
sail the rapids of Mendoza River in Luján de Cuyo department,
as well as Atuel River in San Rafael, both surrounded by the mountains.
Another alternative is to go rafting under a full moon light, to live
this experience in different ways and enjoy the view. |

Mountain bike |
| Mendoza’s
mountains are an endless territory to explore and be surprised by
nature, its flora and fauna. There is a variety of possibilities with
different levels of difficulty to practise trekking or mountain bike:
Potrerillos circuit in Luján de Cuyo, Cacheuta, Vallecitos,
La Payunia or El Manzano Histórico in Tunuyán, Valle
Grande, El Nihuil, Los Reyunos in San Rafael, Los Molles in Malargue. |

| Mendoza’s
mountains have several rocky walls, special for descents using ropes
and harness. There are plenty of possibilities to practise rappel,
since it does not require big effort or special skills. Circuits:

| Hanging
from a steal wire, we go from mountain to mountain as if flying. It

Luján, Tunuyán (where you can revive the horseback trip
of General San Martín and its army), San Carlos, Tupungato,
San Rafael and Malargue. |

| Mendoza
offers a variety of options for climbing, from simple hills to the
Great Aconcagua, whose summit is the goal of hundreds of people between
November and March. Vallecitos is the right place for a previous training
and to get familiar with the landscape. |

is a variety of lakes and dams throughout the province, which make
it possible for people to practise these kinds of water sports. The
Potrerillos Dam in Luján de Cuyo, where powered vehicles are
not allowed, The Carrizal Dam in Rivadavia, and a number of dams in
San Rafael, such as El Nihuil, Valle Grande, Los Reyunos and Agua
del Toro. |
